CMT's panel of Music City professionals were blown away with your "American Roads" entry, and now it's time to do the same for the rest of the World.

Music City Madness will now begin collecting fan votes from around the globe, 24/7. And those votes determine the eliminations as well as the winners.

Please find below our recommended methods to maximize your promotion and votes:

    1. E-mail - Contact family, friends and fan clubs. We will be happy to provide a cool graphic and link for your fans to log on and vote. (More Coming Soon)
    2. MySpace - Post Music City Madness links on your MySpace pages, your friends' MySpace pages, their friends' MySpace page and their friends' MySpace page. These will provide your audience direct access to voting. Once you post Music City Madness links on your MySpace pages, send bulletins throughout your MySpace community. Contact "friends" sites and post your ad. Plus, go beyond  MySpace to include all social networking sites of which you may be a member, including Facebook, Classmates, Friendster, etc. (More Coming Soon)
    3. Band Web Site - Post Music City Madness links on your artist/band's Web site, your friends' artist/band's Web site, their friends' artist/band's Web site and their friends' artist/band's Web site. These will provide your audience, direct access to voting. (More Coming Soon)
    4. The Music Store - Design and print out the official CMT graphics provided for Music City Madness to hang all over your local music stores and all around your neighborhood. (More Coming Soon)
    5. Local Press - Follow up! CMT is currently contacting your local newspapers, TV and radio stations to promote your participation in the Music City Madness contest. Contact all local media to get maximum coverage of your accomplishment. (More Coming Soon)
    6. Postcards - Design and print out CMT postcard graphics to send to your mailing lists and live audiences. (More Coming Soon)
    7. Music City Madness Online Message Board - Solicit all your family, friends and fans to log on to the Music City Madness message board at http://www.madness.cmt.com. (More Coming Soon)

Note: We HIGHLY recommend the above promotions to help you garner the most votes possible. Voting and elimination last for seven weeks. The more you can implement from the above as you follow through on your promotional campaign, the greater your chances to win this incredible contest.

CONTEST DESCRIPTION AND TIMING: The Contest will consist of seven (7) rounds:

("Entry Period") will run beginning 12:00 p.m Central Standard Time on November 1, 2006 through 11:59 p.m. Central Standard Time on January 31, 2007. During the Entry Period Participants may enter the Contest online as described above.

Selection Round ("Selection Round") Beginning on or about February 1, 2007, MTVN, in their sole discretion, will begin the selection of the top sixty-four Submitted Video contenders from all eligible Submitted Videos ("Round 1 Contenders"). MTVN's selection will be based on the originality and the overall quality of each eligible Submitted Video. The Submitted Videos will be judged by a panel of judges, as determined by MTVN, whose decisions are final on all matters relating to the determination of the Round 1 Contenders. In addition to MTVN's right to do so in its discretion, the judges will also be instructed to disqualify any entry and any Submitted Video that displays dangerous conduct, stunts or tricks, conduct that could lead to or shows physical injury, property damage or otherwise violates or is inconsistent with these Official Rules. The chosen Round 1 Contenders will not necessarily all have the highest production value or be the most polished but, more importantly, will need to be innovating, original and cutting edge music videos.

Round 1 ("Round 1 Voting") Beginning February 13, 2007 through February 26, 2007 the top sixty-four Submitted Videos (Round 1 Contenders) chosen by MTVN will be displayed on CMT.com where visitors to CMT.com will have the opportunity to watch and vote for their favorite Round 1 Contender. The Round 1 Contenders will be separated into four (4) different categories, at MTVN's sole discretion, competing against one another within the respective category. The next round will be tabulated based on the number of votes each Submitted Video receives to determine the Submitted Videos that will advance from each category to the next round of remaining 32 contenders, which will consist of the 8 top voted video(s) from each category ("Round 2 Contenders").

Round 2 ("Round 2 Voting") Beginning February 27, 2007 through March 5, 2007 the remaining 32 Submitted Videos (Round 2 Contenders) that received the most votes in the Round 1 Voting will be displayed on CMT.com where visitors of CMT.com will have the opportunity to watch and vote for their favorite Round 2 Contender. The Round 2 Contenders will be separated into four (4) different categories, at MTVN's sole discretion, competing against one another within the respective category. The next round will be tabulated based on the number of votes each Submitted Video receives to determine the Submitted Videos that will advance from each category to the next round of remaining 16 contenders, which will consist of the 4 top voted video(s) from each category ("Round 3 Contenders").

Round 3 ("Round 3 Voting") Beginning March 6, 2007 through March 12, 2007 the remaining 16 Submitted Videos (Round 3 Contenders) that received the most votes in the Round 2 Voting will be displayed on CMT.com where visitors of CMT.com will have the opportunity to watch and vote for their favorite Round 3 Contender. The Round 3 Contenders will be separated into four (4) different categories, at MTVN's sole discretion, competing against one another within the respective category. The next round will be tabulated based on the number of votes each Submitted Video receives to determine the Submitted Videos that will advance from each category to the next round of remaining 8 contenders, which will consist of the 2 top voted video(s) from each category ("Round 4 Contenders").

Round 4 ("Round 4 Voting") Beginning March 13, 2007 through March 19, 2007 the remaining 8 Submitted Videos (Round 4 Contenders) that received the most votes in the Round 3 Voting will be displayed on CMT.com where visitors of CMT.com will have the opportunity to watch and vote for their favorite Round 4 Contender. The Round 4 Contenders will be separated into four (4) different categories, at MTVN's sole discretion, competing against one another within the respective category. The next round will be tabulated based on the number of votes each Submitted Video receives to determine the Submitted Videos that will advance from each category to the next round of remaining final 4 contenders, which will consist of the top voted video from each category ("Round 5 Contenders").

Round 5 ("Round 5 Voting") Beginning March 20, 2007 through March 26, 2007 the remaining 4 Submitted Videos (Round 5 Contenders) that received the most votes in the Round 4 Voting will be displayed on CMT.com where visitors of CMT.com will have the opportunity to watch and vote for their favorite Round 5 Contender. The Round 5 Contenders will be separated into two (2) different categories, at MTVN's sole discretion, competing against one another within the respective category. The next round will be tabulated based on the number of votes each Submitted Video receives to determine the Submitted Videos that will advance from each category to the next round of remaining 2 contenders ("Round 6 Contenders).

Round 6 ("Round 6 Voting") Beginning March 27, 2007 through April 2, 2007 the remaining 2 Submitted Videos (Round 6 Contenders) that received the most votes in the Round 5 Voting will be displayed on CMT.com where visitors of CMT.com will have the opportunity to watch and vote for their favorite Round 6 Contender. This final round will be tabulated based on the number of votes each Submitted Video receives to determine the Submitted Video that will advance to the next round as the Grand Prize Winner of this Contest.

Before April 3, 2007, MTVN will notify the Grand Prize Winner that their respective Submitted Video has been selected as the Grand Prize Video and that they are the potential winner in this Contest.
